Organizations Act (“RICO”) perpetrated by Defendants Pete Leonard Francis Peterson and Alexis Peterson against Plaintiff Holly J. Sheldon-Lee. Defendants intentionally and maliciously employed electronic communications, online platforms, and social media to harm Plaintiff’s professional reputation, economic interests, and personal safety, causing severe emotional distress and substantial financial loss.
Plaintiff HOLLY J. SHELDON-LEE is a resident of the State of Hawaii. She submits herself to the jurisdiction of this Court for purposes of diversity jurisdiction. The District of Alaska is where most of the events complained of herein occurred.
Defendant PETE LEONARD FRANCIS PETERSON is a resident of the State of Alaska. His address is , P.O. Box , Wasilla, AK . He may be served with summons and process at that address. He is the owner and alter ego of at least two websites through which he and his co-defendant Alexis Peterson have published defamatory and harmful content.
Defendant ALEXIS PETERSON is a resident of the State of Alaska. At all relevant times, she has been a co-conspirator and joint tortfeasor with her co-defendant. Her address is , P.O. Box , Wasilla, AK . She may be served with summons and process at that address.
This Court has jurisdiction under 28 U.S.C. § 1332 , as Plaintiff and Defendants are residents of different states and the amount in controversy exceeds $75,000, exclusive of interests and costs.
This Court also has jurisdiction under 28 U.S.C. § 1331 , as this action includes claims arising under federal statutes, specifically the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, 18 U.S.C. §§ 1961 - 1968 .
Personal jurisdiction exists over each Defendant because all Defendants are residents and domiciliaries of Alaska and committed the wrongful actions at issue within the District of Alaska.
Venue properly lies in the District of Alaska under 28 U.S.C. § 1391 , as Defendants reside within the district and a substantial part of the events forming the basis of Plaintiff’s claims occurred within this district.
Beginning on or about November 2022 , Defendants Pete Leonard Francis Peterson and Alexis Peterson commenced a systematic campaign designed to
